We believe that well-informed voters are vital to democracy and policy-making. But when crises overlap and systems become too complicated for the average person to grasp, people no longer know who or what to believe. Simple, short-term solutions gain the upper hand over long-term plans whose immediate benefits are unclear.
Our Foundation aims to help citizens better understand complex systems, such as the energy sector and agricultural industry, through the medium of educational games. This way, more citizens can take an active and informed part in policy-making surrounding these.
To achieve this, our Foundation will create data-backed models and databases describing these systems. By integrating these models and databases into video games, we enable citizens to recognize how systems are interconnected and change over time.
